Private Tutoring Policies

Blocks of Private Tutoring hours are purchased in advance, and private tutoring sessions are offered in durations of either 90 or 120 minutes. In our experience, anything less than 90 minutes isn't long enough for students to both learn and practice new skills, while longer than 2 hours is too fatiguing and not an efficient use of their time.

Tutoring sessions are subject to availability and must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Sessions rescheduled or canceled less than 48 hours in advance are not eligible for refunds. Students are expected to be on time for all sessions; time lost due to late log-ins or missed sessions may not be refunded or rescheduled. All scheduling changes may be made by contacting the tutor directly.

Refund Policy

Students who are not satisfied after their first private tutoring session may request a full refund within 7 days of their initial session. Unused tutoring hours will be refunded upon request. Group class purchases are nonrefundable.

Technology Policy

Meliora Tutoring uses 3rd party software platforms to conduct our tutoring sessions. We are not responsible for software compatibility, damage to computer equipment, or security breaches of 3rd party software. In some cases, we provide accessibility hardware to students. We are not responsible for loss or damage to such equipment, or damage to computer systems caused by such equipment.

Privacy Policy

Meliora Tutoring collects personally identifiable information for the purposes of communicating and delivering tutoring services and processing transactions. Credit card information is shared with 3rd parties solely for the purpose of processing transactions. We will not share a customer's personal information without prior authorization except when lawfully required for a judicial or court proceeding, a legal process, or by law enforcement.
